In just a few days, our country will light fireworks, dress in the nation's colors and celebrate Independence Day. We'll gather with family, friends and community and enjoy food, fun, and FREEDOM. Let's make sure and remember that these celebrations would not be possible without those who serve and have served our country. In honor of these brave soldiers, let's all join in bringing back the tradition of "The Ringing of The Bells".

RING THE BELLS

Ringing "freedom" bells on July 4th was a popular tradition for many years, but it slowly was forgotten and the bell ringing fell by the wayside. However, through a national effort on the part of patriotic citizens, the bell ringing tradition has been resurrected and communities across the nation are now participating in this touching and unifying event. Please join in at 2:00 PM (EST) and ring a bell: cowbells, sleigh bells, school bells, church bells, etc. Let Freedom Ring!

29th ANNUAL PATRIOTIC 5K RUN

This Pottstown tradition, a colorful collection of runners decked out in red, white and blue clothing, starts and ends on the beautiful Hill School campus. Bring the family and join the community in cheering on these fun-loving runners. Registration for the race opens at 7 am. The race begins at 8 am. Registration form.

See your friends, family and neighbors from a different perspective by biking in the parade! It's a fun FIT FOR LIFE time! Meet in the Dana Parking Lots by 10:15 am with your bicycle. (Keim and Center Ave.) You might even want to decorate it for the holiday! Please invite others to join you.
