The Pottstown Cluster: Feeding and Uplifting The Community
The Pottstown Cluster: Feeding and Uplifting The Community

There are some places in our hometowns that quietly and humbly serve residents in need week in and week out. The Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities (PCRC) is one such place. PCRC supports Pottstown residents through food assistance and community meal programs, as well as other programming such as the Pottstown Housing Resource Center. WRIGLEY’S is honored to be a supporting partner to an organization that is doing such great work in our area.

PCRC’s food programs have grown over the years to meet the needs of individuals and families in the community. They also serve families who meet the federal poverty guidelines by providing nutritional food and healthy eating education. By doing so, they give those who need a help a solid ground to stand on.

PCRC has an open pantry that allows Pottstown residents an emergency supply of food and hosts weekly lunches and dinners open to anyone in the community. PCRC also supports and encourages healthy lifestyles by focusing on proper diets and nutritional foods. One way this is accomplished is through their Wise Food Shopper program. This program provides nutritional classes, as well as mentorship from staff, to help those in need make healthy food choices.

The work the Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities is doing in Pottstown is uplifting to those who are vulnerable, but also for the community as a whole. They give this area we live in a strong example of service and community partnership. To get involved and to learn more about all the work PCRC does, click here.
