I hate to say it but I am now in my mid 50’s - yikes! Time seems to be accelerating. The phrase “bucket list” runs through my mind more frequently. When you get to your 50’s, the shortness of life starts to sink in. I started off this year by marking off two items off of my bucket list. 1) Skiing at Jackson Hole and (2) snowmobiling in the Teton Mountains.
I’ve been fortunate enough to ski several great ski areas over the last 30 years. For me, Jackson Hole was the most challenging. It’s truly a “wild west” experience and not for the weak of heart. Let’s just say I survived the skiing and leave it at that.
Snowmobiling in The Grand Teton National Forrest was an awesome experience. Amazing mountain views, mountain trails and peaceful, snow covered mountain meadows. We saw elk and moose and enjoyed lunch at a remote mountain lodge in the middle of the Teton Mountains (snow mobile accessible in the winter.) I was shocked to find out it was truly a 5 star lodge: www.brookslake.com
I knocked off a couple of bucket list items, but actually, I think I added a few more than I scratched off.
Whether you ski or not, I urge you to add Jackson Hole, Wyoming to your Bucket List.
