This time of year in Pennsylvania is beautiful. Summer is transitioning into fall and the weather is perfect for spending time outdoors. My advice: take advantage of this time and enjoy the local, natural wonders of where we live!
One of those wonders is the Schuylkill River and the Schuylkill River Trail (SRT) provides a great way for locals to explore the area. And on Saturday, September 30th, the Schuylkill River National & State Heritage Area will be hosting the 2nd annual Ride for the River. This event is a bike ride from Pottstown to Reading and back on the SRT.
The ride begins and ends at Sly Fox Brewing where the Can Jam Festival will be taking place. All proceeds benefit the SRT. So if you enjoy biking, beer, and live music, mark your calendars and come on out to support the river! Click here for FAQ about the event.
Events such as this are not only a great way to get outside, engage with the local community, and to have a fun, but they are also a way to show support for things that make this area of the world a unique place to work and live. So get out there, get involved, and have a great time!
